Day 01: Siem Reap Arrival (D)
Pick up from the airport and transfer to the hotel check in. The same afternoon, we firt start our visit to jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man's creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of natureWelcome dinner at the local restaurant Early evening, you will be taken by Tuk Tuk, a small open-sided taxi common in Cambodia, to cruise around the suburb of Siem Reap town and for a blessing ceremony by Buddhist monks for happiness, prosperity and safety for your journey. Day 02: Siem Reap (B/L)
Breakfast at hotel. Visit Banteay Srei, constructed at the late 10th century by a Brahmin counselor under a powerking Rajendarvarman. It was loosely translated to citadel of the woman, but it is a modern appellation that probably refers to the delicate beauty of the carvings. Along the way we make stopover at the Preah Dark village and we follow these with a visit the Banteay Samre Temple adorned with impressive relief’s depicting scenes of Vishunu as well as Krishna legends. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon, Visit Angkor Thom, the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple, built from the late 12th century to the early 13th century by King Jayavarman VII and consists of 54 towers, the Royal Enclosure, the Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King, then visit Angkor Wat, the largest temples in world and covers an area of 200 hectares and surrounded by moat and an exterior wall measuring 1300 meters x 1500 meters. Day 03: Siem Reap (B)
This morning, start out at 7:30AM to drive 48km east of Siem Reap town to pay a visit to Kompong Khleang floating village (~ 50 min) at Tonle Sap Lake. Visitors to Kampong Khleang during the dry season (Mar - Aug) are universally awestruck by the forest of stilted houses rising up to 10 meters in the air. In the wet season (Sep - Feb), the waters rise to within one or two meters of the buildings. Kampong Khleang is a permanent community within the flood plain of the lake, with an economy based on fishing and surrounded by flooded forest. But Kampong Khleang is significantly larger with near 10 times the population of Kampong Phluk, making it the largest community on the lake.. Free at leisure till transfer to Siem Reap International airport for flight to the next destination.
