About Ninh Binh
Ninh Bình province is about 100 kilometers south of Hanoi and home of great travel destinations: Hoa Lu ancient capital, Tam Coc, Trang An Complex, Bai Dinh pagoda, Cuc Phuong national park, Phat Diem church, Ke Ga hot spring.
Hoa Lu Ancient Capital was chosen as the first capital of Vietnam feudal centralism regime and the Dai Co Viet’s political, economic and cultural centre with the name of Kings Dinh Tien Hoang, Le Dai Hanh and Ly Thai To in 10th century. In 1010, King Ly Thai To moved the capital from Hoa Lu to Thang Long (Hanoi now), opening a new era for Vietnamese people.
Ninh Binh’s topography is divided clearly into 3 parts: the mountainous area in the west and northwest; the delta and coastal area in the east and south. With many beautiful scenery and on 2.5 hours drive from Hanoi, Ninh Binh has huge reputation and become favorite places of tourists.
End of June 2014, UNESCO recognized Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex (in Ninh Binh) as World Heritage Site. Ninh Binh now is a popular travel spot many tourist because of short distance from Hanoi, breathtaking sceneries and historical relics.
How to get there?
Ninh Binh is located about 100km south from Hanoi city and tourists normally get there easily by 2.5 hour car ride. From Ninh Binh city to tourist attractions is about 07-15 Km.
