Day 1: Ho Chi Minh arrival (Meals: None).
Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, our guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in the center of Ho Chi Minh city. Free at your leisure on the rest of the day. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh city - Cu Chi Tunnel (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)
Cu Chi Tunnels, also called Iron Land, is a huge system of underground tunnels that stretched over 250 km. The network was like a secret city to supported war: storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, also included specially constructed living areas, command centers and innumerable of nightmare trap doors to defend itself. Visit Cu Chi Tunnel you'll be able to get an idea of what it would have been like to live, sleep and eat in the underground passages and bunkers during the fierce battles above and below the surface.
Around 8.00 Am, our guide and car will pick you up from your hotel and depart to visit Cu Chi - a byzantine maze of underground passages, chambers, rooms and booby traps used during the war. You'll be able to get an idea of what it would have been like to live, sleep and eat in the underground passages and bunkers during the fierce battles above and below the surface. Return to the city for lunch at a tasty restaurant in the city centre.
In the afternoon, you'll discover the Reunification Palace - a blend of traditional ritual and modern architecture, served as the presidential palace of South Vietnam until reunification in 1975. The building now functions as a museum, offering tours of the former state rooms, presidential office and library, living quarters of the president's family, and underground war rooms. Then, you'll also visit the War Remnants Museum - one of the most sobering, yet popular, museums in the city. It highlights the suffering of the Vietnamese people at the hands of the French and American forces up to 1975, and while its perspective is less than perfectly balanced, its exhibits nonetheless are well designed and ably document the folly of war. You’ll find a collection of weapons, machinery, aircraft, tanks, artifacts and horrific photographs illustrating the devastating affects of napalm, Agent Orange and other weapons of mass destruction. Trip ends at your hotel around 4.30 Pm. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta - Ancient House - Flight to Danang - Hoi An (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)
Enjoy breakfast at hotel. Around 07.30 Am in the morning, our guide and car will pick you up from your hotel in Center Ho Chi Minh City and start drive to Vinh Long town. When arrival, board on a local motorboat and star cruising on Mekong River. Our guide will introduce to you the floating market, trading culture and floating houses of local here. Since Mekong Delta land is split by huge cannel systems, you will then take a rowing sampan and explore the area by sampan boat that locals use to transfer around. Enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and green fruit garden on two sides. We will stop to visit local some workshops including pop-rice, rice-paper, coconut candy producing, honey tea, snake wine… to see how local people here utilize rice, coconut and other agriculture materials and turn them into delicious products.
The boat will then transfer you to a beautiful ancient house that still well preserved after many generations. You will be welcome by family members and the host will prepare the lunch for you. The host will also teach you how to cook “Banh Xeo” dish so you can join in cooking and make your own dish. Enjoy your lunch with authentic Vietnamese southern meals and learn more about Vietnamese family lifestyle and culture from the host.
After the lunch, we will then take your bike and start cycling around the village. The bicycle ride will take you around the village, introduce to you the genuine beautiful Vietnamese houses and community. It will be a great opportunity to take photos of this beautiful water land. If time permit, we will stop by a drying fruit factory and a local pagoda. The bike ride under peaceful canopy of this water lands will bring you a peaceful experience, shake off the busy lifestyle of city. Start driving back to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive at your hotel around 06.00 PM, get your lugguage and drive straight to Tan Son Nhat airport where you will take a night flight to Danang city.
Upon arrival at Danang international airport, our driver (no guide) will welcome you and transfer you to Hoi An for a 40 minute ride. After checking in your hotel, you will overnight in Hoi An.
Day 4: Explore Hoi An Town (Meals: Breakfast)
Today we will start exploring this Hoi An ancient town on foot (at 08.30 Am or 01.30 Pm as your choice). This little town is a former port that welcomed Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Arab merchants between the 16th to 18th centuries. In the tour we will visit several famous landmarks including Chua Ong Pagoda, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, to see the Jinshang Temple which is dedicated to the goddess of the sea and the protector of sailors. From there it’s a short walk to Tam Ky House, a 200 year old ancestral house and finally, stroll across the often photographed 17th century covered bridge built by Japanese craftsmen. The beautifully built bridge doubles as a temple and is a major landmark of Hoi An. Walk on foot back to your hotel. End of services.
Day 5: Hoi An free at leisure - Free time for shopping in Hoi An (Meals: Breakfast)
Today is your free at leisure day. Enjoy your relaxing time swimming in the pool or shopping for tailor made clothes in town. If you are active person, you can ride bike to the beach or choose our optional half day tour to My Son Sanctuary (you can book later). Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 6: Hoi An - Hai Van Pass - Hue city
Around 12.00 Pm, our guide and car will pick you up at your hotel in Hoi An city and transfer to Hue City for our full day visit. The ride is about 136 km and about 3.5 hours. If the weather permits, we will take the road through the legendary Hai Van Pass. The Hai Van pass offers breathtaking scenery of mountain and ocean, a perfect opportunity for photograph. Arrive in Hue, check in hotel and free at leiure on the rest of the day.
Day 7: Explore Hue City - Flight to Hanoi (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)
Enjoy full day explore Hue City, we will visit Minh Mang tomb, possibly the best of the lot, situated inside a wall and covering several hectares. Woodland and water make it a very relaxing place to be- Minh Mang was definitely a country boy at heart! The main buildings are arranged on an east-west axis, including a courtyard surrounded by warrior statues and several temples and pavilions. Several bridges cross two lakes before the axis ends before the vast burial mound.
We then visit Khai Dinh tomb, dating from 1925, this is the best preserved of the lot and, while comparatively compact, quite grand at first sight. While it follows the classic formula of forecourts leading up to the tomb of the Emperor, complete with statues in attendance, architecture buffs will spot some European influences. The tomb itself is completely over the top with incredibly detailed and opulent mosaics of cavorting dragons. After studying the secret stories behind the tomb, we'll drive back to the city center with some stopovers at the conical hat and incense sticks village to know about handicraft villages in Hue. Enjoy lunch with Vietnamese set menu at local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Royal Citadel – the UNESCO heritage site, one of the best places in Hue to experience the history, culture and rhythms of the Vietnamese Royal life in the past. Our experience tour guide will introduce to you not only history but also fascinating story about royal life. Transfer back Hue city center and transfer to airport to take your night flight to Hanoi city.
Upon arrival at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, our driver (no guide) will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Hanoi center - The Old Quarter. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 8: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay - Bai Tu Long (Meals Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Around 08.00 to 08.30 Am, our tour bus and guide will come to your hotel and pick you up for Ha Long tour. After 4 hours ride (including 30 minute break) you will arrive Hon Gai harbor. We will go on board with welcome drink and welcome briefing from Cruise Manager. Enjoy Vietnamese set menu lunch while cruising through Bai Tu Long Bay and into Ha Long Bay. Start to discover the floating Vung Vieng fishing village while sitting on rowing boats with local people. Arrive at Ban Chan Beach, you will spend your time for swimming, sunbathing or enjoy kayaking around the area.
In the afternoon, relax and enjoy the sunset cocktail while the boat is cruising to Cong Dong - Cong Do area. Docking for overnight. Around 07.30, Enjoy romantic dinning experience on top deck with BBQ dinner and Vietnamese cuisines (If weather permit and group is over 15 people). After dinner, it is free time to joining movies in the restaurant, board’s game or squid fishing. Overnight on Cruise in Ha Long Bay.
Day 9: Ha Long Bay - Hanoi (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)
If you are a morning person then today you can rise early for our morning tai chi session on the sundeck. Enjoy a hot cup of coffee and admire the tranquil atmosphere of Ha Long Bay in early morning. Light breakfast will be served in restaurant. Around 08.00, you will transfer to Island nearby, climb up small steps to explore the Thien Canh Son Cave. This is one of the biggest cave and most impressive of Ha long Bay with rich history and geology value but still very wild and untouched by human. After 1-hour cave tour, we are back to the boat for check out, put your luggage out to corridor and settle your bill at restaurant. Lunch will be served in restaurant while the boat is cruising back to harbor. We will transfer back to Hanoi and tour ends at your hotel in Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 10: Hanoi Departure (Meals: Breakfast)
You will then transfer by private car to Noi Bai international airport for your departure flight leaving Vietnam. End of services.
